Pretzel, Sausage & Cheese Kabobs
These bite-size kabobs are an easy make ahead appetizer and what a perfect tailgate combination!
Premade pretzel nuggets and smoked sausage links are the key to the simplicity of this recipe - also key is some delicious mustards for drizzling!
- about 32 soft pretzel bites/nuggets, sliced in half
- 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
- 32 1/2 inch cheese cubes (we used Vermont Farmstead Fat Tire Cheddar)
On long toothpicks or short bamboo/wood skewers, assemble in the following order:
Pretzel bite half, smoked sausage slice, cheese cube, smoked sausage slice, pretzel bite half
Repeat this process until you have run out of pretzel bites and cheese - depending on how thinly you sliced your sausage you may have sausage left over.
Place on a tray with small bowls of various mustards and sauces - here's what we used when we featured this in our monthly sampling event!

- Spicy IPA Mustard
- Pecan Honey Mustard
- Mustard BBQ Sauce
- Hot Honey Mustard
- Dill Pickle Mustard
this dish is so flexible and easy - change up the smoked sausage, pick any cheese, easy appetizer!
