Harissa Pumpkin Feta Spread
Inspired by a pastry from our favorite bakery, Raising the Bar, this spread puts a twist on pumpkin that isn't traditionally seen but definitely should be used more often!
Combining creamy pumpkin, tangy cream cheese, salty feta, spicy harissa and sweet maple syrup, this spread manages to hit all the right notes and will keep you coming back for more! Add this one into your fall and holiday appetizer rotations - you won't regret it.
- 1 1/4 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon harissa spice
- 1 tablespoon Harissa Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix on high for 2 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape the bowl until dip is mostly combined - there will still be small feta chunks visible. Move to a container and let sit in the refrigerator for at least one hour - making this dip a day ahead of time is even better!
When ready to serve, top with additional crumbled feta and a small sprinkling of harissa spice.
